Group Visits

Floral Media although not open to the public is available to groups of 20 or more for a private visit.

This often begins with a welcome tea/coffee upon arrival, followed by an introduction to your day from Steven & Paula ,proprietors of Floral Media.

You will then be given an informative tour of the gardens, which normally takes up to an hour. The garden is accessible to wheelchairs and there are plenty of resting seats if needed.

 

The garden has been developed over the past 19 years into an array of interest, there are many different spaces for you to explore. Herbaceous Borders, Cutting Gardens, Gravel Garden, Vegetable plots and a cottage garden around the front of the property.  Floral Media is set in 5 acres, about an acre is cultivated into gardens . The rest is a beautiful open meadow with a wild life pond. Set in beautiful countryside in the heart of Nottinghamshire it is an ideal peaceful retreat for many visitors.

During your tour you will visit the Floral Media workshop where all things floristry occurs. Inside you will also find a few items of giftware and cards for sale. We also produce a limited selection of plants, mostly to supply our gardens but we are happy to sell any surplus stock. We take card along with cash if you wish to treat yourself.

 

After your tour we will head back inside for a quick floral demonstration by Paula, which will then be raffled in aid of our Breast Cancer Charity.

 

Lunch usually around 12.30 is prepared and cooked by Steven who is the Chef (amongst other things) for all our weddings we host during the summer. You are guaranteed fresh locally sourced food , some of which you will see growing in the gardens. 

 

After Lunch the raffle will be drawn and you are free to re-visit the gardens or just sit on the veranda and fall to sleep!
